Crypto Goes Global: Wirex Partners with Visa, Powering Crypto Card Program Across 40+ Countries!

Wirex, the London-based digital payments firm, has secured a marvelous global partnership with Visa – allowing them to make their card services available in more places around the world. Wirex will now be able to reach customers in 40 countries across APAC and the U.K.

What’s more, this isn’t the first time Wirex and Visa have teamed up – Wirex was actually the first of its kind to bring cryptocurrency card services to mainstream audiences back in 2015. And since then the company has really been making waves, becoming a principal member of Visa in Europe in 2020 and raising a whopping $15 million in its Series B funding round back in 2022.

Matt Wood, the head of Visa’s digital partnership in the Asia Pacific region, proclaimed that Visa is ecstatic to give consumers more payment option possibilities by linking digital currencies with our network of banks and merchants. It’s fantastic that Wirex is broadening its attention in Asia Pacific, making it effortless and simple for people to use their crypto funds at the millions of Visa-accepting stores in the area!
