Ethereum Price Surges Past $2,220, Targets $2,550 Amid Bullish Trend

Ethereum Pushes Higher, But Can It Break $2,500?

Ethereum’s price is making another run—this time climbing past $2,220 and holding steady above $2,320. It’s not exactly a surprise, given how Bitcoin’s been moving lately, but ETH seems to be finding its own footing. The question now is whether it can push through the stubborn $2,500 resistance.

There’s a decent chance it might. The bulls have already managed to clear a few hurdles, including the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level from that recent drop between $2,568 and $2,115. That’s not nothing. And with the price sitting above the 100-hour moving average, things look… cautiously optimistic.

But $2,480 to $2,500 is where things could get messy. That zone has been a sticking point before, and until ETH closes above it, the upside might stay limited.

Where’s the Next Move?

If Ethereum does break $2,500, the next real test is around $2,550. After that, $2,565 becomes the big level to watch. A clean move past that could open the door to $2,650, maybe even $2,720 if momentum really picks up. Some traders are eyeing $2,800, but that feels a little optimistic right now.

Then again, crypto doesn’t always follow the script.

On the flip side, if ETH gets rejected at $2,500 again, we could see a pullback. The first support sits near $2,390, where a bullish trendline comes into play. Below that, $2,350 is the next cushion, followed by $2,320. If things really unravel—which seems unlikely at the moment—$2,250 and $2,150 are the bigger floors to watch.

What the Indicators Say

The MACD is ticking upward in bullish territory, which usually means the momentum is there. The RSI, meanwhile, is hovering above 50, so there’s still room before things look overbought.

None of this is a guarantee, of course. Crypto moves fast, and sentiment can flip on a headline. But for now, Ethereum’s chart looks… okay. Not amazing, not terrible. Just okay.

The next day or two should tell us whether this is another fakeout or the start of something bigger. Either way, it’s probably not a bad idea to keep an eye on that $2,500 level.
