The former US president, Donald Trump’s support to the crypto industry perfectly aligns with the growing political influence of digital currency enthusiasts. He stated his ambition to make the United States the “crypto capital of the planet” and a “Bitcoin superpower.” Trump’s promise to create a national Bitcoin stockpile further demonstrates his commitment to integrating digital assets into the country’s financial strategy.

Promising a Crypto-Friendly Administration

Growing Political Influence of Crypto

The increasing political involvement of the crypto industry was evident at Bitcoin 2024. Several Republican lawmakers attended Trump’s speech, including Senators Tim Scott and Tommy Tuberville, as well as former presidential candidate and Trump ally Vivek Ramaswamy.
