As the crypto industry continues to gain ground in today’s world, a lot of brands, organizations, platforms, and initiatives are now incorporating NFTs into their deals.

Ebay has now launched NFTs with a strategic partnership with Oneof, a premier green NFT platform. Ebay is an e-commerce platform and the launching of these new NFTs will cut across multiple communities, including lifestyle, sports, and music.

With this collaboration, eBay is leveraging its valuable global contact on Web3 technology, which has provided users with fantastic experiences. The network has given fans more confidence because they now feel safe when they trade.

Ebay Ventures into NFT and Partnership

Speaking on the role of blockchain in the collectables space, Dawn Block, VP of Collectibles, described it as an interesting way of investing for enthusiasts. In a statement, he said, “NFTs and blockchain technology are revolutionising the collectables space, and are increasingly viewed as an investment opportunity for enthusiasts.”

Speaking further, he said eBay’s partnership with Oneof is just a way of building upon the firm’s commitment to deliver high-value items to the eBay community. In his words, he said, “Through our partnership with One of, Ebay is now making coveted NFTs more accessible to a new generation of collectors everywhere.” This builds upon our commitment to deliver high-quality, high-value items to the eBay community of buyers and sellers.

Special Feature on the NFT Collection

This very first NFT collection from eBay has so much to offer in its features. The NFT will feature 3D and animated interpretations of prominent athletes from various sports who have appeared on Sports Illustrated covers numerous times in the past years, with the goal of recognising and honouring exceptional people in the sports world. Significantly, it will also be the first NFT to feature Wayne Gretzky, the famous Canadian hockey player. Wayne Gretzky broke a long-standing record in hockey, scoring 894 goals and earning four Stanley Cups with the Edmonton Oilers.

This new collection has with it 13 limited-edition digital collectables, coming in different tiers of NFTs such as green, gold, platinum, and diamond. The green tier has up to 299 editions and 15 unique editions in the diamond tier.
