Lamborghini Enters Web3 Gaming with “Fast ForWorld”
Luxury carmaker Lamborghini has announced its entry into the Web3 gaming space with its new platform, “Fast ForWorld”, created in partnership with Animoca Brands, a leader in blockchain-based gaming. The collaboration, announced on October 2, marks Lamborghini’s first venture into developing digital versions of its cars for blockchain gaming ecosystems.
“Fast ForWorld” will integrate with Motorverse, Animoca’s gaming subsidiary, enabling players to buy, sell, and drive digital Lamborghinis across popular gaming platforms like Torque Drift 2, REVV Motorsport, and the Motorverse Hub. The platform is set to launch on November 7, offering a 3D wallet to manage users’ digital vehicles and other assets.
Animoca’s executive chairman, Yat Siu, praised the partnership, noting that Lamborghini’s embrace of blockchain interoperability would set a new standard in digital engagement for other brands.
Web3 Gaming on the Rise
Lamborghini’s move comes amid a surge in blockchain gaming popularity, with notable successes like Telegram-based Hamster Kombat, boasting over 300 million users, and Catizen, which attracted 800,000 paying users within six months of its launch. This trend emphasizes the growing influence of blockchain in the gaming industry, making Lamborghini’s foray into Web3 gaming particularly timely.
The partnership with Animoca is expected to push the boundaries of digital car engagement, offering gamers unique opportunities to interact with Lamborghini vehicles in the virtual world.
