The world’s first cryptocurrency payment card is introduced in Ukraine. The Weld Card is Ukraine’s first cryptocurrency payment card, and it was jointly developed by Mastercard, Unex Bank, and the fintech company Weld Money.

According to the bank, it makes it possible for customers to pay for goods and services using cryptocurrency without paying any additional fees. It works both online and offline at locations that allow cashless payments.

The Weld Card is a payment card that can be used online and is modelled after the Mastercard debit card. It is linked to a cryptocurrency wallet that is hosted on the Weld Money platform.

To avoid the need to convert cryptocurrency holdings into fiat cash while making purchases, the card may be linked to both Google Pay and Apple Pay and used to make payments for goods and services.

Weld card users may now pay with the stablecoin USDT, and there are plans to add support for more cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, in the near future. You can also withdraw cash from the card at ATMs that support contactless payments.
