The event starts in less than a month in beautiful Split, Croatia
The fifth edition of the BlockSplit conference, the largest event dedicated to blockchain technology and the web3 ecosystem in Southeast Europe, will be held in Split, Croatia, from May 27 to 30.
The organizers announce that, over four days, eighty international speakers and numerous media and business partners will visit Dalmatia, making BlockSplit an excellent networking opportunity with actors of one of the most propulsive global industries.
The conference will be divided into four days, starting May 27 at the Marriott Hotel with Digital Democracy Day.
“On day one, we’ll talk about innovative solutions for democracy, with a focus on media funding, digital elections, and digital identity debates.” – says Tomislav Mamić, co-founder of BlockSplit, and explains that digital democracy refers to the use of digital technologies to involve citizens in democratic processes:
“Our goal is to present various tools and platforms that enable citizens to participate in decision-making processes and access information about public policies and issues.”
Over the next two conference days, world-class scientists, artists, financiers, politicians, and activists will address current issues, including decentralized money and science, security and privacy on the Internet, gaming, and digital democracy.
Confirmed participants include Audrey Tang, Minister of Digital Affairs of Taiwan, and Glen Weyl, president of the Institute for Plurality. Ambassadors of India, Denmark, and Egypt to Croatia will also attend, as will DeSciWorld founder Joshua Bate and many others, including distinguished professors from UCL, the University of Bremen, and Belgrade.
The co-founder of BlockSplit, Antonio Perić-Mažar, highlights the Web3 Startup Pitch:
“ Fifteen of the best startups will present in front of an expert jury and an audience that will include representatives of investment funds such as Meta Change Capital and Deadalus Angels to win prizes, including 7,000 euros in cash.”
The last day of BlockSplit is reserved for the boat trip through the Split archipelago, while numerous networking opportunities await during the first three days. The gold sponsor of the fifth BlockSplit is blockchain pioneer John Lilić, supported by Digital Dalmacija, General Magic, Neuralab, Li.Fi, i.e. Jumper.exchange. Tickets, as well as a detailed agenda, can be found on the official website.
