Ahmedabad’s Builders Take the Spotlight as India Blockchain Tour Powers Grassroots Web3 Growth

Ahmedabad, July 27, 2025 – With energy, ambition, and innovation in the air, the India Blockchain Tour (IBT) arrived in Ahmedabad for the very first time – and the response was overwhelming. Hosted at Courtyard by Marriott and organized by Octaloop, the event became a melting pot of India’s emerging Web3 builders, founders, and communities.

Unlike the traditional tech events focused only on metros, IBT’s Ahmedabad edition saw a strong turnout from Tier 2 entrepreneurs, early-stage projects, and student-led blockchain initiatives. The venue buzzed with conversations on how to bring India’s next billion users into Web3 – through real-world use cases, tokenized assets, and AI-integrated systems.

The crowd was diverse – from young developers pitching their MVPs to investors, to DAO operators exploring new frameworks. For many attendees, it was their first time attending a Web3 event of this scale, and the impact was immediate.

“Ahmedabad exceeded all expectations – booths were packed, questions never stopped, and the passion for crypto was contagious. We loved connecting with the local trading community and look forward to doing more here,”
Vikas Gupta, Country Manager – India, Bybit

“It was heartening to see so many sharp minds and genuine curiosity in the room. India’s Web3 energy is real, and Ahmedabad showed us why it cannot be ignored,”
Muskan Agrawal, South Asia Events Lead, MEXC Ventures

“The turnout was incredible. From curious Web3 CXO leadership to ambitious youth investing in their future, Bitget had meaningful conversations with everyone. Gujarat is definitely ready for Web3,”
Jyotsna Hirdyani, Growth, Bitget

The exhibitor zone featured a mix of global exchanges and local blockchain startups, including projects working on DeFi protocols, ZK-rollup infrastructure, and Web3 education. Across the panels and fireside chats, one message stood out: the future of Web3 will be built by India’s youth.

To ensure local voices are heard at the national level, Octaloop conducted on-ground surveys with attendees, gathering feedback about the current Web3 regulatory climate in India. These findings will be compiled into a formal report and shared with policy stakeholders later this year.

“India is not just a user base – it’s a builder base. At IBT, we’re not just organizing events; we’re listening, documenting, and amplifying the voice of the people. Our mission is to help the government shape a regulatory framework that reflects the aspirations of India’s Web3 community,”
Anupam Varshney, Founder, Octaloop

The event wrapped up with a dynamic networking session and exclusive speaker & VIP meet-up at Aura Lounge – where conversations shifted from regulations to collaborations, partnerships, and the next big idea in Web3.

IBT’s Ahmedabad chapter has reaffirmed the potential of cities outside India’s startup metros. The Web3 wave is no longer on its way – it’s already here, and builders from Gujarat are riding it headfirst.

Next up: Kolkata.
Stay tuned – the revolution continues.
